COVID-19- COVID SAFE PLAN GUIDANCE FOR VICTORIAN BUSINESSES FOR STAGE 4 RESTRICTIONS

Business Victoria has just released guidance and fact sheets for businesses to assist in creating a COVID Safe Plan that will be legally required if your operations can remain open during the Stage 4 restrictions. This information can be accessed by clicking here.



There are Fact Sheets for Employers and Employees, as well as a range of links to relevant Department of Health and Human Services information to assist businesses in:

  • preventing infection in the workplace;

  • preparing for a case of COVID-19 in the workplace;

  • planning and responding to cases of COVID-19; and

  • cleaning and disinfecting to reduce COVID-19 transmission.


WorkSafe Victoria information is also included for:

  • managing COVID-19 risks - face coverings in the workplace.


It is also important for businesses to be aware that there is a legal obligation to immediately notify WorkSafe Victoria after becoming aware that:

  • an employee, independent contractor, employee of the independent contractor or self-employed person has received a confirmed diagnosis of COVID-19; and

  • the employee, independent contractor, employee of that independent contractor or self-employed person has attended the workplace within the relevant infection period.
