Minimum wage increases from 1 July 2019
The increases apply to base rates of pay from the first full pay period starting on or after 1 July 2019.
The changes will apply to employees that are paid in accordance with the national minimum wage, a modern award or, in some cases, a registered agreement.
Remember, certain employees may have different pay entitlements depending on whether they have a reduced work capacity because of disability, if they're under the age of 21 or if they are an apprentice or trainee.
If you have an Enterprise Agreement in place, you should ensure that the rates of the pay in that agreement at least meet the new base rates of pay in the relevant Modern Award.
